Excellence in Teaching the Business Leaders of Tomorrow

The teaching methods and techniques have dramatically evolved over the past years, a very important role pertaining to the online teaching environment in the context of COVID-19. Various fields have been challenged to adapt and many disciplines have managed to reconfigure their approach toward a suitable teaching model. The presence of these challenges has been also felt in management and business curricula which are dedicated to mainstream excellence for the future generation of leaders.

“Excellence in Teaching the Business Leaders of Tomorrow” – this is the name of the Masterclass that took place on the 17th of October, which was organized by the team of the CNFIS-FDI-2022-0051 project “Academic Excellence”, being addressed to teachers, lectors, assistants, and PhD students, both from the Faculty of Management or from other faculties that are part of SNSPA.

The workshop was moderated by Mr. Marco Valeri, Senior Lecturer of Organizational Behavior (Master’s Degree and Doctoral Course) at the Faculty of Economics, Niccolò Cusano University, Rome (Italy). The discussions during the workshop addressed current topics, having the aim to facilitate the exchange of best practices on how the teaching system can be improved and how students’ expectations can be met post-pandemic, as one of the aims of the Faculty of Management is to create the leaders of tomorrow through developing the skills and competences of its students and by motivating them to become successful managers. In this way, some of the best practices would be to have more case studies during the lectures (as they improve knowledge and involve students more during the class activities), to involve students` senses (so students will be able to assimilate easier the information) and to introduce the students in the international arena (by presenting them methods used in other countries, international strategies and facilitating through this the understanding of the importance of diversity).

The workshop ended with a series of questions and answers.
